In 1989, Dave MacEachern left the University of Prince Edward Island and childhood sports of hockey and soccer to pursue track.

It was his dream to compete at the Olympics, so he followed his instinct and decided to take up residence in Alberta to continue his 400m track and field training at the University of Calgary. For the first time in his 15 years of being an athlete, he was finally taught how to run efficiently and his true potential was beginning to unfold.

Two years into his training, he was invited to attend a Talent ID camp with the Canadian Bobsleigh Team. He accepted the invitation and competed against Canada’s fastest athletes. He was then named to the 1992 Olympic team, where he finished fourth and missed a bronze medal by .11 of a second. After setting an Olympic start record at the 1994 Games, he went on to become the best bobsleigh brakeman in the world. At 236 lbs with a 40-yard dash time of 4.32 seconds, his speed and explosive strength powered himself and Pierre Leuders to a gold medal at the Nagano Olympics in 1998.

Leading up to Dave’s Olympic win, he had garnered 28 world cup victories, five World Cup Titles and a World Championship Silver Medal.

Through sharing his unique training philosophy, Dave would educate and provide young athletes with with training opportunities that weren't afforded to him while growing up on the Island. athletes. Armed with a decade of practical and technical experience, Dave was available and capable of making a difference in the lives of many, so he set out to revolutionize the fitness and conditioning industry in Atlantic Canada.

In May of 2000, Dave began training Brad Richards of the New York Rangers. The two developed a unique strength and conditioning program, that would help launch Brad’s career into an NHL Star and Stanley Cup Champion. Together Brad and Dave redefined off ice hockey training and inspired a generation of young athletes to 'Believe and Achieve'.

From this emerged Eli Sport, the sport performance branch of Dynamic Fitness. Dave began grooming a number of young athlete's that have since become some of Prince Edward Island’s finest athletes including Stanley Cup Champion, Adam McQuaid of the Boston Bruins (Since 2003) Nathan McIver of the Providence Bruins (since 2001), 2008 Beijing Olympian Jared Connuaghton (since 2002) & 2009 Canada Games Gold Medalist Matthew Caseley (since 2006).
